•1. Watch the entire video before starting the installation. It is easy to miss an important step in the installation process which can result in damage to the device. We recommend watching the video a few times before starting the installation.

2. Once the installation is complete; recharge and restart. We’ve found that some devices will act a bit strangely as a result of all the disconnecting and reconnecting that you just did. So if you notice anything unusual (say, odd characters on the screen, or an error message, or a dim or flickering screen), just turn the device off, fully charge the battery, and turn it back on. This will generally clear any unusual behavior.

3. Check Connections. The most common cause for LCD screen problems, especially a blank (white) screen or a dead (black) screen, is that you have not fully attached all the wires and ribbon cables and the screen is not getting a good signal from the device. You can fix this by checking all the connections, and making sure that all the wires and ribbon cables are fully inserted and all locking tabs are locked in place. Refer back to the directions you followed when doing the installation.

4. If you are still having issues try a hard reset. Hold down the “menu” and “select” (center button) for 6 - 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Sometimes it takes a few resets to work, so try more than once. For iPod Touch and iPhone; hold down the Home button and On/Off button simultaneously for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

Note: New Batteries need to be fully charged before use. Although some batteries may have a small charge on them, most will be dead upon arrival. After installation, charge the battery on a wall charger until fully charged. For the first few cycles, always fully charge the battery and run it until fully discharged. This will promote longer playtime between charges and overall longer battery life.
If your device had a new logic board or hard drive installed, you may have test songs on your device. This music was synced to your device via iTunes to test the connectivity function of your device. Restoring the device will clear this data if you do not wish to keep it.
