The iPod Mini (1st Generation, 2nd Generation) 4GB, 6GB
The two generations of the iPod Mini were available in
a rainbow of colors.
The easiest way to tell which generation Mini you have is by the color
of the icons on the click wheel. The 1st generation's icons are grey,
the 2nd generation's icons match the color of the case.
The 4th Generation iPod (4th Gen / iPod Photo / U2 iPod) 10GB, 20GB, 30GB, 40GB, 60GB
The
4th generation was available in three different models. The 4th gen
and U2 models had a monochrome LCD screen. The iPod Photo had a color LCD
screen. The front is white in color but the scroll wheel is gray. The U2 model had a red and black case.
The 3rd Generation iPod 10GB, 15GB, 20GB, 30GB, 40GB
The 3rd generation iPod was all white in color and
had the four menu buttons lined up horizontally above the scroll wheel. It was only available with a monochrome screen.
